Dr. Daryl C. Cornett, pastor
Daryl became the twentieth pastor of the First Baptist Church on August 17, 2008. Before coming to lead First Baptist he was Associate Professor of Church History at Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in Memphis, Tennessee. He has served churches in Kentucky and northern Mississippi in a variety or roles for thirty years, including youth, recreation, education and pastor. He holds both the Masters of Divinity and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. A native Kentuckian, he was born in Hazard and grew up in Lexington. Daryl also serves as a chaplain in the United States Air Force Reserve, holding the rank of Major. He and his wife Cindy have two children.
Tina Rose-Baker, ministry assistant
Tina became the church secretary in November 2000. She and her husband Henry have two grown daughters. Tina has been a member of First Baptist Church since 1994. Tina serves as the office administrator and church custodian.
