Daryl C. Cornett, Ph.D., Senior Pastor
Daryl became the twentieth pastor of the First Baptist Church of Hazard, Kentucky on August 17, 2008. Before coming to lead First Baptist he was Associate Professor of Church History at Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in Memphis, Tennessee. He has served churches in Kentucky and northern Mississippi in a variety or roles over the past twenty years, including youth, recreation, education and pastor. He holds both the Masters of Divinity and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. A native Kentuckian, he was born in Hazard and grew up in Lexington. He and his wife Cindy have two children: Justin, who is thirteen, and Libby, who is six.
Josh Holland, Assistant Pastor of Children and Youth
Josh has been Minister of Youth at First Baptist since the fall of 2006. A graduate of Campbellsville University, Josh served in a variety of areas of ministry while in college before coming to First Baptist to join the church staff. On March 8, 2009 FBC called Josh full-time and expanded his ministerial responsibilities to include children ministries as well as youth. Josh and his wife Taran have two sons: Titus, who is 18 months, and Luke, who is 6 months.

Tina Rose-Baker, Ministry Assistant
Tina became the church secretary in November 2000. She and her husband Henry have two daughters: Brandi who is 25, and Cassie who is 23; and one grandson: Damian who is 6. Tina and her daughters have been members of First Baptist Church since 1994. Tina is the office manager, including various administrative responsibilities as well as the point of contact for the church's benevolent ministry.

Paul Davidson, Ph. D., Interim Minister of Music
Paul is an ordained Southern Baptist minister who holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Southern Seminary in Louisville. He and his wife Diane served as International Mission Board missionaries in Nigeria for 15 years where Paul taught church music and Bible at the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary. The Davidsons have two children: Andrew who is 18, and Anna who is 13. The Davidson family lives in Oneida where Paul and Diane teach at the Oneida Baptist Institute.
