Sunday Morning Service
Often I enjoy sharing a short joke or a lighthearted story as we begin a message. I enjoy the laughter that we can share together, the joy that is common among us.
But today that will not be the case, today I have a message to share that is the most important message that I have ever shared, today I have a message to share that may be the most difficult message that I will ever attempt to deliver..
Today as I am speaking, I ask that you be in prayer for me and for pastors all over this land that are no doubt sharing a similar message, today I ask that you to pray that I can get thru this message without breaking down into tears.
Today I ask that you pay close attention, that you listen closely that you shut out noises, distractions, thoughts of things that you have to do this afternoon and focus on this message.
Not that this message will be delivered perfectly, not that we will be able to share every point, for we could spend the next ten thousand years sharing this message and still yet miss some of the wonder of God’s love. Today I ask that you listen- that your heart be open to this story of the Crucifixion and 7 sayings of our Savior on the cross.
